Mark Painter, LPC
As a young psychology undergraduate student in the late 1980’s Mark Painter found he was keenly interested in both information technology and human behavior. Mark attained a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, then a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling but maintained an interest in information technology. As a young professional, he alternated between two fields traditionally considered unrelated. Mark found common threads in both disciplines which drew his interest and flamed his passion. In 2000, Mark went on to complete a Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science.
While observation, measurement, analysis, and evidenced based processes were the ties that continued to bind Mark to both professions, the human services field ultimately provided the opportunity to help others in a way that information technology could not. Mark realized that emotional and cognitive health are the prerequisites for the attainment of all other human achievement. Since 2002 Mark has worked full time in the human services field in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings.
